Speech Therapy

Speech therapy at CSLL helps children build the skills to understand language, form clear speech sounds, and communicate confidently in everyday life. Our licensed speech-language pathologists work with children facing articulation delays, expressive and receptive language difficulties, stuttering, and social communication challenges. Every plan starts with a personalized evaluation, then moves into playful, structured sessions built around your child’s interests. Parents receive practical strategies to reinforce progress at home, so skills carry over from the therapy room into the classroom, playground, and dinner table.
Clearer articulation and speech sound production
Stronger expressive and receptive language skills
Improved fluency and speaking confidence
Practical strategies parents can use at home

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy at CSLL helps children build the fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation skills they need for everyday independence. Our licensed occupational therapists work with children who struggle with handwriting, coordination, sensory processing, or daily routines like dressing and mealtime. Sessions are playful and purposeful, using movement, textures, and hands-on activities to strengthen the specific skills your child needs most. We assess how your child processes sensory input, then build a plan that helps them feel calmer, more focused, and more capable at home and school.
Improved fine motor and handwriting skills
Better sensory processing and self-regulation
Greater independence with daily routines
Strategies parents can reinforce at home

Comprehensive Evaluations

Before therapy begins, our comprehensive evaluations give you a clear, accurate picture of your child’s speech, language, and developmental strengths and needs. Conducted by licensed specialists, each evaluation uses standardized assessments alongside real-world observation, so results reflect how your child actually communicates and functions day to day. You’ll receive a detailed report in plain language, not just clinical scores, along with specific, actionable recommendations for next steps, whether that means starting therapy, exploring EIDBI eligibility, or simply gaining clarity about your child’s development.
Standardized testing plus real-world observation
Clear, plain-language results summary
Actionable, specific next-step recommendations
Supports EIDBI and school eligibility documentation

Autism (EIDBI) Services

CSLL provides individualized autism support through Minnesota’s Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) benefit. Our EIDBI specialists build person-centered plans that focus on communication, social connection, behavior, and daily living skills, always centered on your child’s strengths and interests rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Families are treated as essential partners in the process, with regular updates, home strategies, and goals that evolve as your child grows. We collaborate closely with our speech and occupational therapy teams, so autism support is never siloed from the rest of your child’s care.
Individualized, strengths-based treatment plans
Coordinated care across speech and OT teams
Ongoing family training and support
Guidance navigating the EIDBI benefit

AAC Services

For children who benefit from additional communication support, CSLL offers Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services, from picture-based systems to high-tech speech-generating devices. Our speech-language pathologists assess your child’s communication style, motor abilities, and daily needs to recommend the right tools, then teach your child, family, and school team how to use them effectively together. AAC is never treated as a last resort at CSLL, it’s a bridge that often supports spoken language development alongside it, with hands-on training and consistent follow-up as your child’s needs evolve.
Personalized AAC system assessment and selection
Hands-on training for your child and family
School and caregiver team coordination
Ongoing support as communication needs change
